CP PLUS, the security and surveillance brand under Aditya Infotech(AIL), has initiated a partnership with L&T Semiconductor Technologies (LTSCT), a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, to produce nine million CCTV IP cameras over the next three years. The cameras will be powered by LTSCT’s indigenously developed Vision System-on-Chip (SoC) technology.
The collaboration marks a step towards strengthening India’s domestic capabilities in semiconductor design and surveillance manufacturing. LTSCT’s Vision SoCs, designed entirely in India, support high-resolution imaging of up to eight megapixels, enabling sharper and more detailed visuals suitable for critical security applications. The chips incorporate advanced cryptographic architecture to enhance data protection and cybersecurity in surveillance systems.
Under the agreement, CP PLUS will integrate these chips into its upcoming camera lineup, enabling large-scale production of smart, secure devices tailored for both government and private sector use. The initiative aligns with India’s broader vision of achieving self-reliance in high-technology manufacturing under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” framework.
Aditya Infotech Managing Director Aditya Khemka stated that the collaboration is intended to strengthen India’s technological foundation in surveillance and reduce dependency on imported chipsets. Sandeep Kumar, Chief Executive of L&T Semiconductor Technologies, said the alliance would help extend India-designed Vision AI SoCs into millions of surveillance devices, contributing to the country’s semiconductor ecosystem.
The agreement brings together CP PLUS’s experience in large-scale security product manufacturing and LTSCT’s expertise in chip design and semiconductor innovation. The companies expect the partnership to bolster India’s role in the global security technology supply chain, while fostering domestic research, innovation, and employment in the electronics sector.
The production of nine million CCTV IP cameras is set to take place over three years, supporting India’s expanding demand for high-quality surveillance infrastructure in urban development, industry, and public safety.
