Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that involves two teams of seven players each. The main objective is for a raider to enter the opposing team\“s half, tag as many defenders as possible, and return to their own half without being tackled, all while holding their breath and chanting \“kabaddi\“. Defenders must stop the raider by tackling them before they cross the midline. Points are scored for each defender tagged, and the defending team earns a point if the raider is successfully tackled. The game is played in two halves of 20 minutes each, with a five-minute break in between. It promotes physical fitness, agility, and teamwork, and is widely popular in rural and urban areas of India. |
