Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that is widely played in rural and urban areas across the country. It is a contact team sport that requires strength, speed, and strategy. In this project for Class 12 Physical Education, we will explore the rules, techniques, and benefits of Kabaddi, focusing on its importance in promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
Kabaddi involves two teams of seven players each. The objective is for a raider to enter the opponent\“s half, tag as many defenders as possible, and return to their own half without being tackled. The sport emphasizes agility, breath control, and quick decision-making. It is not only popular in India but has gained international recognition through events like the Pro Kabaddi League.
This project will cover the history of Kabaddi, its basic rules, and practical tips for playing the game. Students will learn how to improve their skills and understand the cultural significance of this indigenous sport. |
