The Raymond Group has received approval from the Andhra Pradesh government for two significant investments totalling Rs 940 crore, which are intended to bolster the Sri Satya Sai district’s aerospace and automotive component manufacturing industries. The state’s Industrial Development Policy 4.0 (2024–29) authorised these approvals, which are anticipated to generate about 5,500 direct jobs in the area.
JK Maini Global Aerospace, a subsidiary of the Raymond Group, plans to invest Rs 510 crore to build a state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility in the Satya Sai district. By producing precision components for international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier-1 suppliers, this facility is anticipated to create about 1,400 direct jobs and integrate Andhra Pradesh into the global aerospace supply chain. Commercial production from this facility is scheduled to begin by May 2027.
Concurrently, JK Maini Precision Technology, another Raymond subsidiary, intends to invest Rs 430 crore to establish an automobile component manufacturing facility in Gudipalli, which is located in the same district. The facility will serve top automakers in India and overseas and is anticipated to generate over 4,000 new jobs. By May 2027, production at this plant is also expected to start.
According to media reports, the Andhra Pradesh government is supporting these projects with a special incentive package worth Rs 700 crore to accelerate project implementation. Following suggestions from the State Investment Promotion Committee, the approvals were formally granted after thorough discussions at the State Investment Promotion Board, which was presided over by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
This move strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s position as a major centre for advanced manufacturing and precision engineering. It also follows recent large-scale investments in the state, including the Google AI data hub, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s trajectory as a growing destination for cutting-edge industries and global investments. |
