Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that has gained international recognition. The duration of a kabaddi match varies depending on the format and level of competition.
In standard professional kabaddi matches, the total playing time is 40 minutes, divided into two halves of 20 minutes each. There is a 5-minute halftime break between the two halves.
For junior level competitions and local tournaments, the match duration may be shorter, typically 30-35 minutes with 15-minute halves. The actual time may extend due to timeouts, injuries, and other interruptions.
Each raid in kabaddi has a time limit of 30 seconds, and the raider must return to their half within this time while continuously chanting \“kabaddi\“. The game clock stops during timeouts and between raids. |
