Shangri-La Paris has launched Maison Roland, a new restaurant located within the hotel’s private garden and inspired by Prince Roland Bonaparte, the former resident of the historic property.
Positioned as a contemporary Parisian bistro, the restaurant offers classic French cuisine in an informal yet elegant setting. The dining space combines indoor and outdoor seating, with the restaurant extending onto a terrace and landscaped garden in the centre of Paris.
The menu focuses on traditional French dishes prepared with regional ingredients. Starters include devilled eggs with salmon roe, sardine rillettes, country-style terrine with pistachios, tomato gazpacho, and salads with lardons and soft-boiled egg. The restaurant also serves Brittany oysters and caviar selections.
Main course offerings include sole grenobloise, beef hanger steak with peppercorn sauce, beef tartare, grilled sea bass with herb sauce, and lobster served in multiple styles. Desserts feature floating island “Maison Roland”, chocolate mousse, crème caramel with Madagascar vanilla, pavlova with red berries, and strawberry coupe with frozen yoghurt.
Maison Roland operates from Monday to Saturday between 12 pm and 10 pm, and on Sundays from 7 pm to 10 pm. The restaurant aims to attract both local residents and international visitors seeking a relaxed French dining experience in a garden setting.
