A chilling incident of murder of a 13-year-old boy in Madhya PradeshIndorewas recently brought to light by the state police. The details of the case that left multiple people in horror have since then become a topic of much debate amid netizens online.
A 13-year-old boy was murdered in Indore earlier this week and his body was hidden inside the accused’s apartment. According to the statement of the state police, the suspect had strangled the child eight times with a nylon rope, smashed his face with a brick, and then hid the body inside the bed box of his (accused’s) grandmother.
“The accused made his ailing grandmother sleep on top of it to avoid suspicion,” they added.
What happened?

As per police, the boy ( a class 8 student) had gone missing from his residence at around 7:30 pm on Friday following which an FIR was filed by the city’s police later that evening. After a frantic search, the police had uncovered the boy’s body the next morning on the fourth floor of a building adjacent to the victim’s house.

According to investigators, the crime was committed after the accused allegedly attempted to sexually assault the minor. When the boy resisted and raised an alarm, the accused responded by killing him swiftly in order to ‘avoid getting caught’.

The murder took place on Saturday on the roof of a six-storey building, barely 30 metres from the boy’s house. To conceal the crime, the body was later shifted and hidden in the accused’s flat at the fourth-floor of the building where the crime had taken place.
Where’s the accused now?

Following the initiation of a formal police investigation on Friday, the police had detained an adult named Rehan (21) along with a minor as the prime accused in the case.

CCTV footage provided the first crucial breakthrough, showing the boy entering a nearby building. During a joint search by police and family members, officers found traces of the victim’s  blood at three to four locations, indicating efforts to wipe away evidence.

Preliminary findings indicate that the child was playing in the same building when the crime took place. The body of the victim was discovered by the police after completing an intense round of  interrogation with Rehan.
As per police, Rehan broke down and confessed under sustained interrogation. He told police that the boy’s body had been hidden inside a bed box following which it was discovered by the police at the exact same spot. Rehan has been arrested. Police said further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and the role of each accused.
