kabaddi rules and regulations

Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that has gained international recognition. The game is played between two teams of seven players each, with the objective of scoring points by raiding the opponent\“s court and touching as many defenders as possible without being caught.

The basic rules require the raider to enter the opponent\“s half, continuously chant \“kabaddi\“ without taking a breath, and return to their own half after touching one or more defenders. If the raider fails to return or takes a breath, they are declared out.

Defenders must work together to stop the raider from returning to their side by tackling and holding them. Each team takes turns sending raiders while the other team defends. Points are awarded for each defender touched by the raider, while the defending team scores points when they successfully prevent the raider from returning.

The game is played in two halves of 20 minutes each, with a five-minute break in between. The team with the most points at the end wins the match. Kabaddi requires excellent physical fitness, breath control, and strategic thinking.
