Baccarat is a popular card game often played in casinos. The game involves comparing cards between two hands: the Player and the Banker. Each round of baccarat has three possible outcomes: Player wins, Banker wins, or a Tie.
To start, players place bets on either the Player hand, the Banker hand, or a Tie. Two cards are dealt to both the Player and the Banker. The goal is to have a hand total closest to 9. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, Aces are worth 1, and 10s and face cards are worth 0.
If the total of the hand exceeds 9, only the last digit of the total is considered. For example, a hand totaling 15 is worth 5. Depending on the initial totals, a third card may be drawn according to specific rules. The hand with the total closest to 9 wins. |
