Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that has gained international recognition in recent years. This contact team sport originated in ancient India and is now played competitively in many countries across Asia and beyond.

While kabaddi has been included in major multi-sport events like the Asian Games since 1990, it has not yet been included in the Olympic Games. The International Kabaddi Federation has been actively working toward getting kabaddi recognized as an Olympic sport, but there are several challenges to overcome.

For a sport to be included in the Olympics, it must meet certain criteria set by the International Olympic Committee, including having a certain level of international participation, following anti-doping regulations, and demonstrating global appeal. Kabaddi continues to grow in popularity worldwide, which may improve its chances of Olympic inclusion in the future. |
