Baccarat is a popular card game often played in casinos. The game involves comparing cards between two hands: the “Player“ and the “Banker“. Each round of play, also known as a coup, has three possible outcomes: “Player“ has the higher hand, “Banker“ has the higher hand, or a “Tie“. 
The rules for drawing a third card are specific and automatic. The Player hand acts first. If the Player\“s total is 5 or less, a third card is drawn. If the Player stands, then the Banker hand follows the same rule: draw on 5 or less, stand on 6 or 7. If the Player draws a third card, the Banker\“s action depends on that third card\“s value, following a more complex set of rules detailed in the chart.
Bets are placed before the cards are dealt. You can bet on the Player hand, the Banker hand, or a Tie. Winning bets on Player are paid 1 to 1. Winning bets on Banker are also paid 1 to 1, but a 5% commission is usually charged by the house. A winning Tie bet is typically paid 8 to 1 or 9 to 1. |
