Among the list of 25 MLAs inducted into Gujarat cabinet on Friday was cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife, who is the MLA from Jamnagar North. She was named the primary, secondary and adult education minister.
This comes after all ministers except Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel resigned on Thursday ahead of the cabinet reshuffle.

Besides Rivaba, there were 18 other fresh faces in the council of ministers. Six of the former ministers were retained with Harsh Sanghavi elevated as Deputy CM.
Who is Rivaba Jadeja?
Rivaba Jadeja, 34, is the niece of veteran Congress leader Hari Singh Solanki and hails from a Rajput family with royal lineage in Rajkot. She was part of Rajput organisation Karni Sena before she joined the BJP in March 2019.
What is Rivaba Jadeja's net worth?
Before the 2022 assembly elections, Rivaba Jadeja declared that she owned assets worth Rs 100 crore. This made her one of the wealthiest MLAs in the state. She also owns a restaurant in Rajkot.
Rivaba also runs an NGO named Matrushakti Charitable Trust for women empowerment. She completed mechanical engineering from Gujarat Technological University in Ahmedabad. She tied the knot with Ravindra Jadeja in 2016 and they have a daughter, Nidhanya.
With the reshuffle, there are 26 ministers instead of the previous 17. Gujarat can have a maximum of 27 ministers, which is 15 per cent of the 182-member assembly. The reshuffle is aimed at the upcoming local body polls and two years ahead of the 2027 assembly polls.
