IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened Holiday Inn & Suites Sapporo Odori Park, introducing a refreshed, family-friendly stay experience in the heart of Hokkaido’s capital. The 195-room hotel is located within walking distance of Susukino station and Odori Park, offering both leisure and business travellers a welcoming base to explore one of Japan’s most vibrant urban destinations.
Following an extensive transformation, the property showcases the brand’s modern design and signature open-plan lobby concept – a bright, flexible space for work, relaxation, and socialising. Guests can choose from 29 suites, including 14 maisonette-style options with kitchens and separate living areas, catering perfectly to extended stays, family groups, and multi-generational trips.
Dining options include a cafe and bar serving Hokkaido specialities and Otaru craft beers, alongside a second-floor restaurant offering an international breakfast buffet. The hotel also features a traditional Japanese bath, sauna, and a panoramic fitness centre on the top floor. Children aged twelve and under stay and eat for free, reflecting the brand’s commitment to accessible family travel.
To mark its opening, the hotel is offering an extended stay package with up to 26-hour room access for IHG One Rewards members, welcome drinks, and limited-edition amenities, valid through 30 December 2025.
The new Sapporo property strengthens Holiday Inn’s growing presence in Japan, joining the recently launched ANA Holiday Inn Resort Karuizawa and promoting IHG’s commitment to providing reliable, value-led hospitality across the country’s key destinations. |
