Ventive Hospitality is advancing marine conservation across its Maldivian resorts through large-scale coral restoration and science-led stewardship. The initiative spans Anantara Dhigu, Anantara Veli, Naladhu Private Island and Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, where thriving coral ecosystems support diverse marine life.
At Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, one of the region’s most active coral restoration programmes is underway, maintaining over 50 coral frames and 16 nursery lines nurturing more than 3,500 coral fragments. The resort’s coral nursery provides mid-water conditions ideal for growth before transplantation, with 40 new fragments expected to be relocated by the end of 2025.

Meanwhile, Anantara Dhigu, Veli and Naladhu continue to advance their Holistic Approach to Reef Protection (HARP) programme, now in its seventh year. Over 14,000 coral fragments have been added and outplanted across these reefs, supported by more than 200 ecological surveys and 350 hours of dedicated monitoring.
Led by Marine Biologist (PhD) Oriana Migliaccio, the projects integrate scientific insight with hospitality, using research on coral resilience to guide restoration efforts. Guests can also take part in the Adopt a Coral programme, contributing to reef regeneration while receiving updates on their coral’s growth. |
