InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has completed the final phase of its multi-million-dollar transformation project.
The renovated beachfront resort has introduced new facilities including an ocean-facing ballroom, expanded beach lawns, luxury suites with plunge pools, new restaurants and bars, a sports pavilion, scenic walking trails and a meditation garden.
The property now features 110 redesigned guestrooms and suites overlooking the Bay of Bengal, landscaped gardens and pool areas. The upgraded accommodation includes premium in-room amenities, standalone bathtubs and rain showers.
The Grand Presidential Suite includes an ocean-facing living area, jacuzzi and steam room, while the Presidential Suite features a private pool and spa room with views of the Bay of Bengal. The Rathi Suite has also been redesigned with a plunge pool, steam room and landscaped garden views.
The transformation is part of InterContinental’s wider global brand evolution focused on destination-led and culturally connected luxury experiences.
