IHCL opens Taj Bush Lodge in Greater Kruger region

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Taj Bush Lodge in South Africa’s Greater Kruger region, marking the brand’s expansion into luxury wildlife hospitality in the country.
Located within the Balule Nature Reserve in Kruger National Park, the six-key lodge has been designed to blend with its natural surroundings through the use of thatched roofs, wood accents and earthy interiors inspired by the local landscape and heritage.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL, said, “As Taj steps into Greater Kruger with the first of three luxury wilderness lodges, it brings with it a legacy of over a century of offering exceptional experiences deep rooted in the destination. The opening of Taj Bush Lodge, Greater Kruger strengthens the brand’s presence in the country extending the South African itinerary combining the panoramic landscapes of Cape Town with the wildlife of Kruger National Park.”
The lodge offers wellness facilities under Taj’s J Wellness Circle brand along with curated wildlife and outdoor experiences, including safaris, bush breakfasts, traditional South African braais, boat cruises and guided excursions around the region.
Mark Wernich, Cluster General Manager Operations South Africa & General Manager- Taj Cape Town, said, “Our entry into Kruger National Park invites travellers to experience Taj’s world-class hospitality, seamlessly integrated with a proven eco-tourism model. This will be complemented by two additional Taj lodges in the park, set to open in the coming months.”
