Qualcomm Technologies has introduced its latest mobile platforms, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, at the third edition of Snapdragon for India. The launch underscores India’s growing importance in Qualcomm’s global roadmap, positioning the country as a hub for next-generation mobile innovation.
Performance Gains for Everyday Use
The new platforms debut Snapdragon Smooth Motion UI, designed to reduce lag and enhance responsiveness. Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 claims to deliver 20 per cent faster app launches and 18 per cent less screen stutter compared with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4. It integrates AI-powered camera features, immersive gaming with the Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0, and 21 per cent better GPU performance. Connectivity is strengthened with Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G, while battery efficiency ensures long-lasting use.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 introduces 90FPS gaming to the Snapdragon 4-series for the first time, alongside a 77 per cent GPU performance boost. It supports Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA), enabling users to maintain 5G + 5G/4G connections simultaneously, ensuring seamless connectivity across networks.
