Sreeleela’s much-anticipated Bollywood debut has turned into a long wait, with the project facing unexpected delays even after nearly two years in production.
The actress signed her first Hindi film opposite Kartik Aaryan, which created buzz not just for the pairing but also due to rumours linking the two.
However, the film’s progress has been far from smooth. Director Anurag Basu recently revealed that only about 40% of the shoot has been completed so far. With nearly 60% still pending, the timeline remains uncertain.
This effectively rules out a 2026 theatrical release, pushing Sreeleela’s Bollywood debut further than expected.
While the actress has reportedly received a few more Hindi offers, the slow progress of her debut project raises concerns about maintaining momentum in the industry.
