Intermittent rains have been lashing the region since Monday. An eyewitness involved in the rescue efforts recounted that "whole mountain came crashing down on the bus". Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said he would be reaching the landslide site soon.
