Kerala SIR update: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to release the draft electoral rolls for Kerala on Tuesday, as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. This exercise, aimed at updating voter records, ensures the inclusion of eligible voters and removes duplicate, fake, or ineligible entries. The qualifying date for the revision has been fixed as January 1, 2026, following requests from the Chief Electoral Officers of Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The SIR process is part of the ECI’s broader efforts to maintain accurate voter lists, which are essential for free and fair elections across the country. Eligible citizens who are not yet registered, or whose details need correction, are encouraged to participate actively in the revision process.
What is Special Intensive Revision (SIR)?
The SIR is a door-to-door and document-based exercise conducted by the ECI to ensure accuracy in the electoral rolls. Its main objectives are to include eligible voters missing from the rolls and remove ineligible entries, such as deceased individuals or voters who have shifted to other locations.
How to Check Your Name in the Draft Electoral Roll
After the draft rolls are published on December 23, voters in Kerala can check their details online:
Visit the official ECI website: https://voters.eci.gov.in
Click on ‘Search your name in E-roll’ at the top right of the homepage.
Enter your EPIC number or personal details to view your entry in the draft electoral roll.
New voters are advised to submit Form 6 with the required declaration either to their Booth Level Officer (BLO) or online through the ECINet app or ECI website for inclusion in the final rolls.

Click on ‘Fill Enumeration Form’ on the homepage.
Sign up if you are a new user, or log in if already registered.
Enter your mobile number, email (optional), and captcha to complete the registration.
Request an OTP and log in.

Select Kerala, enter your EPIC number, and click Search.
The portal will display your form submission status. If the message “Your form has already been submitted. For more details, contact your BLO” appears, it confirms submission. If not, a blank form will open, indicating that your data has not yet been uploaded. |
