In a single month from September 1st to 30th, Telugu audiences there spent a staggering $10 million on movie tickets.
This number not only reflects their craze for films but also highlights the spending power of the Telugu community in the United States.
The lion’s share of this came from OG, which alone grossed about $5 million from ticket sales. Following it was Mirai with an impressive $3 million, while Little Hearts brought in $1.2 million.
Smaller films also had their share, with Kishkindhapuri collecting $315,000 and Ghati earning $83,000 during the same period.
Industry observers point out that whatever the situation, Telugu people never hold back when it comes to watching films, especially in theaters.
This consistent support shows how deeply cinema is woven into Telugu culture and how NRIs proudly carry that passion abroad.
