A kabaddi court is a rectangular playing field used for the traditional Indian sport of kabaddi. The court measures 13 meters by 10 meters for men and 12 meters by 8 meters for women. It is divided into two halves by a center line, with each half containing a baulk line and a bonus line.
The baulk line is located 3.75 meters from the center line, while the bonus line is positioned 1 meter behind the baulk line. The court also features two end lines that mark the boundaries of the playing area. All lines on the kabaddi court are 5 centimeters wide and are clearly marked to ensure fair play.
This traditional Indian sporting ground is typically made of soil or mud, though modern versions may use synthetic materials. The simple yet strategic layout of the kabaddi court reflects the ancient origins of this popular Indian sport that continues to be played across villages and cities throughout India. |
