Home services platform Urban Company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 159 crore for the fourth quarter of FY26, sharply higher than the Rs 3 crore loss recorded in the corresponding quarter last year, according to stock exchange filings released on 8 May.
The widening losses come as the company ramps up investments in InstaHelp, its 10-minute quick-service business, amid rising competition from emerging players such as Snabbit and Pronto. Urban Company, which currently leads the segment, has indicated it will continue investing aggressively to defend its market position.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 20 crore in the December quarter of FY26.
Despite the higher losses, revenue from operations rose 42.5 per cent year-on-year to Rs 426 crore in Q4FY26, compared with Rs 298 crore in the same period a year earlier. Sequentially, revenue increased 11 per cent from Rs 383 crore in Q3FY26.
“We are happy to have found InstaHelp. A business that did not exist until a year ago, fulfilled 2.7 million orders last quarter, with March alone crossing 1.1 million orders. Our most aggressive new vertical scaleup, and we are investing in it with conviction,” Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Founder and CEO, Urban Company said in his letter to shareholders.
Bhal added that InstaHelp handled nearly 2.7 million orders and generated Rs 40 crore in net transaction value (NTV) during Q4FY26, up from 1.6 million orders and Rs 28 crore NTV in the previous quarter.
Following the earnings announcement, Urban Company’s shares fell more than 6 per cent to Rs 137.8 apiece on the NSE on 8 May.
