                                                                                                Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas looked back on her 25-year journey in showbiz at the Bridge Media Summit in Abu Dhabi, saying she feels nothing but gratitude for her younger self and “all the hard work” that went into building her career.
The actor, who entered Bollywood without any industry connections, recalled how intimidating the early years were.
“Mumbai was terrifying,” she said, revealing that she once faced “six movies flopping back to back” before filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion (2008) completely “changed the course” of her life.
Priyanka admitted that many opportunities were “taken away” from her, which forced her to carve her own space; first in Bollywood and later in Hollywood.
Today, she is far more selective with her scripts and says she is finally “on the other side” of all the sacrifices she made.
Sharing advice for young dreamers, Priyanka urged them to “go easy on themselves” and prioritise their well-being.
