Baccarat is a popular card game often played in casinos. The game involves comparing cards between two hands: the \“player\“ and the \“banker\“.
The objective of Baccarat is to bet on which hand will have a total value closest to 9. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, aces are worth 1 point, and 10s and face cards are worth 0 points.
To start, both the player and banker are dealt two cards. If the total value of the cards is more than 9, only the last digit of the total is considered. For example, a hand with a 7 and an 8 (totaling 15) is worth 5 points.
Based on the initial two cards, a third card may be drawn for either hand according to specific rules. After all cards are dealt, the hand with the total closest to 9 wins. |
