Baccarat is a popular card game often played in casinos. The game involves comparing cards between two hands: the \“Player\“ and the \“Banker\“. Each round of play, known as a coup, has three possible outcomes: Player wins, Banker wins, or a Tie.
The game uses multiple standard decks of 52 cards shuffled together. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value in points. Aces are worth 1 point, and 10s and face cards （Jack, Queen, King） are worth 0 points. The value of a hand is the sum of the points of each card in the hand, but only the last digit of the total is considered. For example, a hand with a 7 and a 5 （totaling 12） is worth 2 points. 
The gameplay is straightforward. Both the Player and Banker are initially dealt two cards. Depending on the total points of these initial two cards, a third card may be drawn for one or both hands according to fixed rules. The hand with a total points value closest to 9 wins.
Players do not need to make complex decisions during the game. They simply place a bet on which hand they believe will win - Player, Banker, or a Tie. The rules for drawing the third card are automatic and predetermined, making Baccarat a game of chance rather than skill. |
