[color=hsl(0, 0%, 0%)]Gabriel India (GIL), the NSE-listed flagship of the $2.4-billion ANAND Group and an automotive component manufacturer, has signed a joint venture with SK Enmove, a subsidiary of South Korea’s SK Group, one of the country’s largest conglomerates. SK Enmove will hold 51 per cent stake, while Gabriel India will hold 49 per cent in the new company, named ‘SK Enmove Gabriel India’.
[color=hsl(0, 0%, 0%)]The JV marks Gabriel India’s expansion beyond its traditional suspension and ride control business into the automotive fluids segment, including engine oils, EV fluids, shock absorber oils, industrial lubricants, greases, and e-thermal fluids. The company will also acquire SK Enmove’s existing India operations and establish a greenfield facility, providing an immediate presence in the Rs 40,000 crore Indian lubricants and EV fluids market.
[color=hsl(0, 0%, 0%)]GIL reported a consolidated revenue of Rs 4,063 crore in FY 2024-25, a 20 per cent year-on-year increase. The JV leverages GIL’s existing OEM relationships and aftermarket network to scale operations in India, starting December 2025.
[color=hsl(0, 0%, 0%)]This partnership builds on GIL’s recent diversification, including joint ventures for automotive fasteners with JINHAP, sunroofs with Inalfa Roof Systems, solar dampers, and expansion into the European bicycle suspension market.
