OPA Kipos, the Dubai-based Greek fine-dining restaurant, is set to make a grand comeback to Mumbai this October under the Aspect Hospitality Group, led by Executive Chairperson Aksha Kamboj. The brand, known for its lively performances and signature plate-smashing ritual, will bring an authentic Grecian dining experience to Worli.
Spread across 6,500 sq ft and designed by Dubai’s Creative Clinic, the 130-seater venue features Mediterranean-inspired interiors, bougainvillaea canopies, a VIP lounge, a performance hall, and bar. The design aims to combine architectural sophistication with the vibrancy of Greek culture.
“At Aspect Hospitality, we aim to bring global dining experiences that combine culture, cuisine, and celebration,” said Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson, Aspect Global Ventures. “OPA Kipos’ return is a revival of a beloved brand, now enhanced to offer even richer experiences of joy and Greek culture.”
“OPA Kipos had struck a chord with Mumbai because it wasn’t just a restaurant it felt like an escape,” said Hitesh Keswani, Managing Director, Aspect Hospitality. “With this comeback, we’ve amplified everything it was loved for the warmth, the drama, the food, and the celebrations.”
The menu, curated by Executive Chef Timothy Newton, showcases Mediterranean classics including Mezze platters, Seabream Ceviche, and Flaming Lobster Linguine, with dedicated vegetarian and Jain selections. The bar will serve signature cocktails such as Olive Odyssey, Poseidon’s Mist, and Dionysus’ Smoke.
Adding a sustainable twist to tradition, the restaurant’s iconic plate-smashing ritual will see broken pieces repurposed into mosaic artwork through collaborations with local NGOs, supporting artisans and eco-friendly initiatives. |
