An obscene disruption occurred during the virtual court proceeding before the Chief Justice bench of the Delhi High Court after they were repeatedly interrupted by an obscene video during the video conferencing
The incident led to a forced shutdown of the virtual session twice. The disruption was reportedly caused after an unidentified individual gained access to the virtual hearing.
They had screen-shared the pornographic video while the bench was hearing a matter, Livelaw reported.
The matter escalated when the person disrupted the second hearing proceedings, which were started later.
The virtual conferencing had to be shut down entirely and has not been resumed.
Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya  has now directed the Registrar General to take action following incident.
Reports say that the the account involved displayed a message stating “you’ve been hacked”. An automated audio mesage also was reportedly heard saying that the system was hacked.
The authenticity of the claim has not been verified.
Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma later informed the Chief Justice that the incident had happened in many other courts also.
He added that the court must take action.
"Administratively, I have already instructed the RG because under our rules it can be displayed only if it is recorded," the Chief Justice said.
The Court filed a formal complaint with the IFSO (Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations) unit of the Delhi Police.
A preliminary investigation procedure has been initiated.
