Bihar MP Pappu Yadav, or Rajesh Ranjan, has been admitted to Patna Medical College after his health deteriorated following his arrest on Friday. The MP was taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Bihar's largest government hospital, on Saturday morning.
He is reportedly suffering from a headache and heart palpitations due to injuries sustained during the arrest. Police officials say that Pappu Yadav will be produced in court after his medical examination is complete.

The MP’s personal secretary posted a video of Yadav being taken to the IGIMS and wrote, "Patna Police placed the Honourable MP on a stretcher for treatment. Patna Police couldn't even get him a bed at IGIMS. This is the state of Bihar's healthcare system."

In another post, the secretary made serious allegations against the police and the administration. He wrote, “Those in power and the administration are conspiring against him for fighting for his daughter's NEET exam and have already plotted to kill him."
Following his arrest, Yadav took to X to level serious allegations against the Bihar police and called his arrest a political agenda "Young entrepreneur Suraj Bihari was murdered, yet the Bihar Police, which is still unable to catch the murderer, led to the death of Suraj's father, entrepreneur Jawahar Yadav. The Bihar Police, which praises his murderers, have come with police from five police stations to arrest me! We are terrorists, arrest us," he wrote.

On Friday, the MP was arrested due to his involvement in a case from 1995. Yadav had resisted his arrest, claiming that he was ill. During the three-hour affair pappu also fainted, which sparked outrage among supporters. When the police arrived at his residence on Friday, he was seen taking medication.
The arrest was made pertaining to an FIR lodged at the Gardanibagh police station. According to the complainant, Pappu Yadav and his associates allegedly fraudulently rented his house in 1995. While renting the house, the MP allegedly deliberately concealed that the building would be used for the MP’s political office. |
