Initially believed to be a jungle adventure, the film took a different turn after Rajamouli released a poster showing Mahesh Babu wearing a pendant featuring Nandi, Trishul, and Damarukam - elements associated with Lord Shiva.
The imagery hinted that the film may also incorporate spiritual or mythological themes.
Industry sources claim that Varanasi could be the chosen title and that an official announcement may come on November 16. However, Rajamouli’s team has remained tight-lipped, offering no confirmation.
Rajamouli traditionally opts for titles with universal resonance, appealing to audiences across languages.
While Varanasi holds deep cultural significance in India, questions remain about whether the title would align with the film’s global release strategy, given Rajamouli’s international ambitions for this project.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the film includes a folk-style song featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, composed by MM Keeravani.
The song’s concept design and trial shoot are said to be complete, with filming expected to begin soon.
