The 2021–22 Indian Super League season featured 11 professional football clubs competing in India\“s premier football competition. The teams represented various cities and regions across the country, showcasing local talent and international players.
Chennaiyin FC, based in Tamil Nadu, maintained a strong local fanbase while incorporating players from different Indian states. Mumbai City FC from Maharashtra demonstrated the growing football culture in western India. Kerala Blasters FC continued to draw massive support from the passionate football community in Kerala.
Local products from different regions were prominently featured. Goa FC highlighted players from Goa\“s rich football tradition. Bengaluru FC from Karnataka integrated local talents with international expertise. Odisha FC represented the eastern state\“s emerging football scene.
Other teams included ATK Mohun Bagan (West Bengal), Hyderabad FC (Telangana), Northeast United FC (representing northeastern states), Jamshedpur FC (Jharkhand), and SC East Bengal (West Bengal). Each team contributed to promoting football development in their respective regions while competing at the national level. |
