Texmaco Rail & Engineering has secured a Rs 15.06 crore contract from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the installation, testing and commissioning of ballast-less track systems across key metro corridors in the National Capital Region. The project also includes the supply of buffer stops, reinforcing Texmaco’s growing leadership in India’s urban mass transit ecosystem
Under the contract, Texmaco will execute 5.8 track-kilometres (T-KM) of work across three strategic metro locations: Saket-G Metro Station on Line-11, Sarita Vihar Depot on Line-10 and Noida Electronic City Metro Station on Line-3. These corridors form a critical part of the Delhi Metro network, serving some of the region’s densest commuter hubs. Work is scheduled to begin on 1 December 2025 and will be completed within 12 months, adhering to DMRC’s strict engineering and safety standards.
Ballast-less track systems are widely adopted in modern metro networks for their superior stability, reduced maintenance and ability to support high-frequency operations. Texmaco’s selection reflects its proven expertise in delivering technologically advanced, durable and energy-efficient track infrastructure.
Commenting on the contract win, Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director, Texmaco Rail & Engineering, said: “We are pleased to receive this important contract from DMRC, which reaffirms the sector’s confidence in Texmaco’s engineering capabilities, execution efficiency and commitment to quality. As India continues to expand and upgrade its metro networks, Texmaco is proud to contribute to building world-class urban mobility infrastructure. This project fully aligns with the national priorities of Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”
Texmaco is already executing a larger 58 T-KM ballast-less track project for DMRC from Majlis Park to R.K. Ashram extension, where it has completed 22 T-KM along with multiple scissor crossings, crossovers and turnovers within stipulated timelines.
As India accelerates its transition towards clean and efficient metro systems, Texmaco reiterated its commitment to strengthening urban transport through innovation-driven engineering and operational excellence. |
