Harley-Davidson has confirmed that the X440 will retain its current pricing despite the revised GST framework. As per the Finance Ministry's directive, motorcycles with engine capacities above 350cc now fall under the 40 percent GST slab. While several manufacturers have adjusted prices accordingly, Harley's move to hold steady on the X440 pricing stands out.
The Harley-Davidson X440 is a product of the Harley-Hero partnership and is the only model that holds the "Harley" badge under the partnership. The Hero Maverick 440, which shared its platform with the X440, bid farewell to the market because of low sales numbers. With this, the Harley-Davidson X440 enjoys as the single 440 contender by Hero MotorCorp and Harley-Davidson collab.

The Harley Davidson X440 is powered by a 440cc air-oil-cooled engine producing 26 hp and 38 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed transmission and a slipper clutch.
As per the new GST structure, Harley-Davidson was expected to carry a price hike of about Rs 20,000. However, the brand has decided to absorb the prices and retain the pricing. The Harley-Davidson X440 has three variants on offer, namely Denim, Vivid, and S. It is available at a starting price of Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

Notably, it is not just Harley-Davidson that has decided to absorb the prices post-GST 2.0. The Bajaj-owned Triumph and KTM have also announced to retain the prices, without any hike.
