Belgium\“s financial watchdog has announced that all crypto advertisements must now include a warning for new investors. The warning is aimed at alerting individuals to the risks associated with cryptocurrency investments.
This new rule is part of the Belgian regulator\“s efforts to protect investors and ensure the transparency of crypto-related marketing campaigns.
According to the watchdog, the warning should be clearly visible and should state that \“Investing in crypto assets is risky and involves a high level of uncertainty. You should not invest money you cannot afford to lose.\“
This move by the Belgian authorities is in line with global trends where regulators are increasingly focusing on protecting retail investors from potential scams and fraudulent activities in the crypto space. |
