In Irish poker, each player is dealt four cards face down. After the initial deal, there is a first betting round. Then, players must discard two of their four cards, leaving them with two cards, similar to Texas Hold\“em.
Following the discard phase, the flop （three community cards） is dealt face up on the table. Another betting round occurs, then the turn （fourth community card） is dealt, followed by another betting round. Finally, the river （fifth community card） is dealt, and the final betting round takes place.
The best five-card hand using any combination of the player\“s two remaining cards and the five community cards wins the pot. The hand rankings follow standard poker rules, with Royal Flush being the highest and High Card the lowest.
