Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport that has gained international recognition. The basic rules of kabaddi involve two teams of seven players each. The game is played on a rectangular court divided into two halves.
A raider from one team enters the opponent\“s half while chanting “kabaddi“ continuously without taking a breath. The raider must touch one or more defenders and return to their own half to score points. If the raider is stopped by the defenders or fails to return, the opposing team scores a point.
The match consists of two halves of 20 minutes each with a 5-minute break. Teams earn points by tagging opponents or preventing raiders from returning. Players are declared out if they cross boundary lines or are successfully tackled by opponents. |
