Kabaddi is a traditional contact sport that originated in ancient India and remains immensely popular throughout South Asia. While kabaddi has gained international recognition through events like the Asian Games and World Cup, it is not currently an Olympic sport.  
 
The Pro Kabaddi League in India has significantly boosted the sport\“s popularity with its fast-paced action and star players. This indigenous game requires both physical strength and strategic thinking as players raid the opponent\“s territory while chanting “kabaddi.“  
 
Despite growing global interest and efforts by the International Kabaddi Federation, kabaddi faces challenges in meeting Olympic inclusion criteria, including worldwide participation and standardized rules across all competing nations. |
