HAL Q4 Net Profit Rises 5.7% YoY To Rs 4,184 Cr; Margin Improves

State-run defence major Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) reported a 5.7 per cent year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 4,184.28 crore for the quarter ended March 2026, aided by higher revenue and improved operating margins.
The company’s revenue from operations stood at Rs 13,943.32 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to Rs 13,699.87 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a growth of 1.8 per cent. Total income increased to Rs 15,095.68 crore from Rs 14,352.61 crore a year ago.
HAL’s operating performance also improved during the quarter. Operating Profit Margin (OPM) rose to 44.54 per cent from 43.39 per cent in the year-ago period, while Net Profit Margin (NPM) improved to 30.01 per cent from 28.89 per cent.
Profit before tax climbed to Rs 5,572.07 crore in the March 2026 quarter against Rs 5,200.28 crore in the same period last fiscal. Earnings per share (EPS) rose to Rs 62.57 from Rs 59.19.
The company reported expenditure of Rs 8,889.40 crore during the quarter, compared to Rs 8,416.07 crore a year earlier. Other income surged to Rs 1,152.36 crore from Rs 652.74 crore.
Shares of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited closed at Rs 4,610.50 on Thursday, down 0.15 per cent or Rs 6.85 on the BSE.
