Dhurandhar 2, which created a massive box office storm in India and overseas, is now nearing the end of its North American run but may fall short of a major milestone.
At one point, the film looked set to comfortably cross the $35 million mark in North America.
However, its momentum has slowed significantly over the past week. During the last weekend, the film managed to add only around a quarter of a million dollars to its total.
By the end of its 32-day run, Dhurandhar 2 has grossed slightly over $28 million.
At the current pace, the film is expected to finish its run below $29 million, making the $30 million milestone out of reach as it approaches the end of its theatrical journey.
Despite this slowdown, Dhurandhar 2 still holds a remarkable record.
It currently stands as the highest-grossing Indian film of all time in North America, having surpassed the long-standing record of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. |
