Tata Technologies Partners WITTENSTEIN To Power Software Defined Vehicle Push

Tata Technologies Limited has announced a strategic partnership with WITTENSTEIN High Integrity Systems to accelerate the development of Software Defined Vehicles, according to a press release dated March 2, 2026. The collaboration will integrate WHIS’s flagship SAFE RTOS into Tata Technologies’ automotive software stack, strengthening capabilities in safety critical embedded systems for next generation mobility solutions.
In an NSE listing, TATA said the partnership aims to support automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in meeting stringent functional safety requirements, including ISO 26262, while speeding up the development and deployment of connected, autonomous and electrified vehicles. SAFE RTOS, known for its certifiable safety, reliability and real time performance, will become a core component of Tata Technologies’ SDV platform, enabling scalable and safety certified software architectures.
The companies said the collaboration responds to the automotive industry’s transformation driven by electrification, autonomy, connectivity and the increasing centrality of software. By combining Tata Technologies’ expertise in automotive software engineering with WHIS’s safety critical solutions, the partnership seeks to empower customers to accelerate SDV adoption with greater confidence.
Andrew Longhurst, Managing Director, WITTENSTEIN High Integrity Systems, said the partnership ensures OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers can leverage SAFE RTOS to achieve high levels of safety and performance in software defined vehicle architectures. Tata Technologies President Automotive Sales Nachiket Paranjpe noted that the collaboration will help customers deliver advanced mobility experiences by integrating proven safety solutions into SDV platforms.
