IndiGo flight cancellations today: What passengers need to know

Flight cancellations continued on the sixth day of the IndiGo crisis on Sunday, with initial reports indicating that hundreds of services were suspended across major cities in the country.
In Delhi, massive queues were seen at Indira Gandhi International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, according to ANI. The situation has  prompted the Railways to announce special trains across different parts of the country  for the convenience of passengers.
In the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, 54 arrivals and 61 departures of  IndiGo were cancelled on Sunday. At Delhi Airport, 86 IndiGo flights were cancelled on Sunday, comprising 37 departures and 49 arrivals. Ahmedabad Airport also reported  disruptions, with 35 departures and 24 arrivals listed under planned cancellations.

At Kolkata Airport, 73 arrivals and 102 departures were scheduled for the day, of which 21 arrivals and 20 departures were cancelled. Quite a few cancellations were seen at Thiruvananthapuram airport as well.
As per reports, the total Number of scheduled IndiGo flights for Sunday include five domestic arrivals and six domestic departures.
Meanwhile, a statement issued on X by IndiGo said it planned to operate over 1500 flights by the end of the day. “With regards to destinations, over 95% of network  connectivity has already been re-established, as we are able to operate to 135 out of the existing 138 destinations in operation."
Railways runs a special train
The Western Railway has announced the running of multiple special trains amid the  IndiGo flight cancellations. Railway Public Relations Officer Ajay Solanki said that they   are adding extra coaches to regular trains to facilitate passengers.

“Sabarmati-Delhi special train will be run on Sunday and Tuesday at 10.55 pm and will  reach Delhi the next day at 3.15 pm. Another train, Sabarmati-Delhi Sarai Rohilla, will start on Sunday at 5.30 am and reach Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 11 pm,” Solanki said, adding that extra  coaches will be added to trains to the regular trains. “These include an AC 3-tier coach on Ahmedabad-Thawe junction; an AC 2-tier coach on Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express;  a sleeper coach will be added to Sabarmati-Jammu Tawi Express," the railway official said.
The Ministry of Railways and IRCTC set up their helpdesk counter at Sardar Vallabhbhai  Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, amid the IndiGo flight cancellations.
