There has been widespread speculation about the remuneration being offered to Prabhas for the film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Some reports claim he is being paid around Rs 100 crore, while others suggest Rs 150 crore. However, the actual arrangement appears to be different.
Prabhas has been granted the complete Telugu theatrical rights of the film across India. This means that wherever the Telugu version of Spirit is screened within the country, the total share of box office collections from those regions will belong to him.
Based on calculations involving standard ticket prices and an optimal theatrical run, the estimated value of these rights falls in the range of Rs 180 to Rs 200 crore.
If ticket prices are increased for special premieres or if the movie achieves consistently high occupancy, this figure could rise further.
Even under modest or average conditions, Prabhas is expected to earn around Rs 200 crore. If the film performs beyond expectations, the final number could go significantly higher, making this one of the most notable remuneration models in Indian cinema. |
