2015–16 football league two scores

The 2015–16 Football League Two season was the 12th season of the league under its current title and the 23rd season under its current league division format. This season featured 24 teams competing from August 2015 to May 2016.

Northampton Town emerged as champions with 99 points, securing automatic promotion to League One along with Oxford United and Bristol Rovers. Accrington Stanley also gained promotion through the play-offs after defeating Wimbledon in the final at Wembley Stadium.

Notable performances included Plymouth Argyle finishing 5th and Portsmouth ending the season in 6th position. The relegation battle saw York City, Dagenham & Redbridge, and Newport County drop out of the Football League.

Some remarkable scorelines during the season included Northampton\“s 5-1 victory over Crawley Town and Portsmouth\“s 6-0 win against York City. The season also saw several high-scoring draws, including a 3-3 thriller between Cambridge United and Luton Town.
