Kabaddi is a traditional Indian sport played on a rectangular court with specific measurements. The standard kabaddi court measures 13 meters in length and 10 meters in width for men\“s matches, while women\“s courts are slightly smaller at 12 meters by 8 meters.
The court is divided into two halves by a center line, with each half containing a baulk line located 3.75 meters from the center line and a bonus line positioned 1 meter from the baulk line toward the end line. The playing area also includes two end lines marking the boundaries, and a lobby area extending 1 meter beyond each end line where players can move during the game.
All lines on the kabaddi court are marked with a width of 3-5 centimeters, ensuring clear visibility for players and officials. The court surface is typically made of clay, soil, or synthetic material to provide good traction and minimize injuries during the intense physical contact that characterizes this indigenous Indian sport. |
