Xiaomi reported strong third-quarter results for 2025, with revenue rising 22.3 per cent year on year to Rs 1,41,035 crore and adjusted net profit increasing 80.9 per cent to Rs 14,091 crore. The company recorded growth across all major business segments, including smartphones, IoT products and its expanding electric vehicle division.
The Group said its performance was supported by its “Human × Car × Home” strategy, which aims to integrate consumer electronics, smart home products and electric vehicles. Revenue for the first nine months of 2025 reached Rs 4,24,478 crore, nearly matching last year’s full-year figure, while adjusted net profit surpassed 2024 totals at Rs 40,901 crore.
Xiaomi’s electric vehicle, AI and new initiatives division posted a major milestone, reporting positive operating income for the first time. The segment generated Rs 36,163 crore in revenue during the quarter, up more than 199 per cent year on year, with EV deliveries reaching 108,796 units. Cumulative deliveries for the first three quarters exceeded 260,000 units. The company continued expanding its sales network, operating 402 smart EV centres across 119 cities in mainland China by the end of September.
Smartphone revenue reached Rs 57,362 crore, with global shipments totalling 43.3 million units. This marked its ninth consecutive quarter of year-on-year shipment growth. Xiaomi maintained a top three global ranking in smartphone shipments, holding 13.6 per cent market share according to Omdia. The company also reported gains in the Chinese premium smartphone segment, with a 5.6 percentage point increase in market share within the RMB 4,000 to 6,000 price band. The Xiaomi 17 Series recorded a 30 per cent rise in first-month sales compared with the Xiaomi 15 Series.
The IoT and lifestyle products segment generated Rs 34,417 crore in revenue, up 5.6 per cent year on year. Xiaomi’s AIoT platform surpassed 1 billion connected devices, excluding phones and tablets. The company’s first smart home appliance factory began operations in October, with an annual production capacity of up to 7 million air conditioners.
Internet services revenue rose 10.8 per cent year on year to Rs 11,721 crore, supported by a global MAU of 741.7 million. MAU in mainland China reached 187.3 million, both marking record highs.
Xiaomi’s R&D investment reached its highest-ever quarterly level at Rs 11,347 crore, a 52.1 per cent increase year on year. The company introduced new developments in large language models, smart home technologies and its operating system HyperOS 3, while expanding engineering teams to 24,871 employees.
The company said cumulative R&D spending for the first three quarters of the year reached Rs 29,304 crore and is expected to exceed Rs 37,410 crore for the full year. Recent product initiatives include Xiaomi MiMo Audio, an open-source voice model, and Xiaomi Miloco, a set of smart home solutions built on large model technology. The launch of its new smart appliance factory adds to its existing manufacturing capabilities for smartphones and electric vehicles.
