Accor has been honoured with the World's Leading Climate Action Initiative award at the 2025 World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards (WSTHA) for its high-impact supply chain decarbonisation programme, Achieving Net Zero Together.

Our approach is original in placing action over reporting and by organizing direct one-on-one meetings between Accor category managers and suppliers. Earning this recognition within the first year reflects the collective effort of our procurement teams and suppliers to move forward together."
Organised by the World Travel Awards in partnership with the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, the recognition highlights Accor’s success in embedding sustainability into hospitality procurement. The initiative, launched in 2024, focuses on tackling one of corporate climate action’s biggest challenges – reducing supply chain emissions amid low supplier maturity and limited carbon data availability.
Structured around three pillars: measuring supplier carbon maturity, reducing supply chain emissions, and promoting low-carbon suppliers and offers – Accor developed in-house tools and frameworks to help suppliers and buyers design practical decarbonisation roadmaps. The programme now includes more than 1,000 suppliers, representing 77 per cent of the Group’s total procurement volume.
This initiative also led to Accor being named a CDP Supplier Engagement Leader, placing it among the top six per cent of companies globally recognised for supplier engagement on climate. The WSTHA 2025 awards ceremony took place on October 29, 2025. |
