The league followed a round-robin format where each team played 18 matches during the league stage. The top four teams then qualified for the playoffs. FC Goa emerged as the league stage winners, while ATK claimed the championship title by defeating Chennaiyin FC in the final.
Indian domestic products featured prominently during the season, with Hero MotoCorp continuing as the title sponsor. The league also partnered with various Indian brands for equipment, apparel, and broadcasting, showcasing the capability of Indian manufacturing and service industries.
Local Indian players had significant opportunities to develop their skills alongside international professionals. The league\“s structure helped promote football infrastructure development across different states, with modern stadiums and training facilities being established throughout the country. |
