Kabaddi is a traditional contact sport originating from India, played between two teams of seven players each. The game involves raiding and defending. A raider enters the opponent\“s half, chanting \“kabaddi\“ without taking a breath, to tag defenders and return safely. Defenders try to tackle the raider to prevent this. Points are scored for each defender tagged or if the raider crosses the bonus line. Matches are typically 40 minutes long, split into two halves. It\“s popular in rural India and has gained international recognition through events like the Pro Kabaddi League. |
