James Gamble was an Irish-American businessman and philanthropist who co-founded Procter & Gamble with William Procter in 1837. Born in Ireland in 1803, Gamble immigrated to the United States and settled in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he started a soap and candle business. 
Gamble\“s expertise in chemistry and manufacturing helped the company develop high-quality products that quickly gained popularity. Under his leadership, Procter & Gamble introduced Ivory Soap in 1879, which became one of the company\“s most successful products.
Throughout his life, James Gamble was known for his strong work ethic, innovation, and commitment to quality. He remained actively involved in the company until his retirement and continued to contribute to various philanthropic causes in his community. |
